This award will be presented to David Reid in recognition of his longstanding commitment to art medals, the innovations he has made in small-scale bronze casting, his ability to communicate his enthusiasm for medals through his bronze-casting courses, and the generous support he has given the British Art Medal Society in order that it might fulfill its objectives of developing and supporting the art of the medal in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
