description: McAdam Freud, a sculptor and medallist, studied at the Central School of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art in London. Since the Picasso medal she has studied at the School of Art of the Medal in Rome and worked as a sculptor and engraver at the Royal Mint England and the Perth Mint, Australia. Now working independently. Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors since 1998 and Secretary of the Society of Numismatic Artists and Designers since 1997.
The Picasso shared the first prize in the 1980 Royal Society of Arts, medal competition.
