THE MEDAL appears in September and March and is received by all members. Other works are also published by the Trust; those currently available are listed in the shop.

Medals

The Society issues several art medals each year, in September and March. Each medal is available for eighteen months, after which an edition is declared. The edition closes earlier if 100 medals are sold. Medals from past issues, within the declared edition, can be bought if any are available.

Other Services

These include advising on how to go about commissioning and producing a medal, sponsoring medal competitions, providing a forum for artists, and organising exhibitions, lectures, conferences and visits.

Membership

The Membership year begins on 1 July. Anyone who joins will be enrolled for the current membership year and will receive the issues of THE MEDAL published in September of that year and the following March. There are three categories of membership:

• Ordinary Members pay £20 per annum to the Society, receive THE MEDAL and must buy at least one medal each membership year.
• Associate Members pay £35 per annum to the Trust if in Europe or £40 per annum outside Europe (to cover extra postage costs). They receive THE MEDAL and are not obliged to buy any medals but may do so at the members' price on application to the Secretary. For full time students a reduced rate of £12.50 is available.
• Corporate Members pay £50 per annum to the Society and receive THE MEDAL. Individuals who belong to the institution concerned may enjoy the benefits of membership by arrangement with the Treasurer.
