Chandler is a painter and printmaker, whose BAMS medal relates to a suite of etchings, Boethius, issued by the artist in 1988. The ‘vase-face’ on one side is juxtaposed on the other with a circular ‘landscape’ of man-made objects and an inscription taken from Boethius’ Consolation of Philosophy (Haec ubi regnant, where these rule).
