Description

Dutton’s third medal for the Society was inspired by a piece of music on the theme of Icarus. This was the starting point for a process of experimentation with texture and form. As the artist has written, ‘the movement of the wax manipulated by hand and scratched by the tool develops the energy of the idea.’
