The BAMS President Medal

This year’s BAMS President Medal was awarded to The Worshipful Company of Cutlers.

The BAMS President Medal is awarded annually to individuals and organisations who have made significant contributions to the understanding, appreciation and encouragement of the art of the medal.

The work of Danuta Solowiej, this medal was commissioned by the British Art Medal Society as part of its twenty-fifth anniversary celebrations in 2007, and first awarded in 2009.

From 2011 to 2013, the BAMS President Medal was awarded jointly with the Marsh Award for the Encouragement of Medallic Art.
